Gladstone Village is one of Ottawa Community Housing’s new residential developments, transforming an 8-acre site into a mixed-use community that will accommodate up to 1,100 new affordable homes over the coming decade. Phase 1 will deliver 336 new affordable homes. Bordering the O-Train Trillium Line and anchored by the Corso Italia Light Rail Station, Gladstone Village will feature several high-rise buildings, new streets, multi-use pathways and supporting infrastructure.

Phase 1, expected to be completed in 2027, comprises a nine-storey and an 18-storey tower joined by a four-storey podium at the northwest corner of the site. Designed to Passive House standards for energy efficiency, the project’s proximity to active rail infrastructure and its mix of residential and commercial uses created a layered acoustic environment requiring assessment throughout the planning and building design process.
