After years of planning and designing the Gradient Wind and Tecoustics teams have completed the design and fabrication of our largest Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) yet! To celebrate this accomplishment, we invited engineers from across North America to join us for an in-person presentation on TMDs by Dr. Un Yong Jeong and Sahil Mahey, as well as a live demonstration of the impressive 235-tonne machine in action.

In addition to our tours with various engineers, the team hosted 45 students from the University of Toronto engineering program to learn more about dampers in December 2025. The educational experience gave them the opportunity to discuss structural engineering with industry professionals and witness real-world problems being solved.

The TMD will be installed in 2027, but before instillation takes place Gradient Wind and Tecoustics will be hosting more visits to the warehouse in Burlington.
