company history

Gradient Wind has its origins in 1996 as a local consulting company in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Through decades of hard work and continuous innovation, the company has grown to a staff of over 20 experienced engineers and technologists, supported with wholly-owned facilities including a modern model fabrication shop, a large-scale atmospheric wind tunnel, and proprietary computer simulation software. Through our reputation for reliability and excellence, we’ve expanded our services to major cities across North America and around the globe. In May 2019, we opened an office in Burnaby, BC, in order to better serve Western Canada and the United States.

We bring deep experience to every project we work on, from small, direct-to-client projects, to large, international, multi-faceted developments. Our expertise and services cover all aspects of wind and snow engineering, including damper design and fabrication, thermal analysis, and snow and ice loading of structures, as well as air pollution studies, vibration control, and environmental noise and acoustics.
