Now Hiring – Engineering Manager, ANV

We are seeking a highly skilled and talented individual to join our Acoustics, Noise, and Vibrations (“ANV”) team as Engineering Manager.

The role of Engineering Manager includes the following responsibilities:

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to execute and deliver projects of high quality consistent with company and customer requirements, and interdepartmental needs.
  • Assign Engineering resources to projects to ensure successful on-time completion.
  • Provide technical support to staff and clients as required.
  • Review technical reports from staff in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Most reports will be written in English; some will be published in French (as required).
  • Lead by example to coach and develop staff potential.
  • Advance the ANV methodology and conduct relevant research, including investigating potential new services.
  • Develop and maintain strong positive collaborative working relationships with staff, gaining the trust and ability to influence others.
  • Plan and execute technology improvements to meet schedule and budget objectives.
  • Plan and execute goal setting, performance/salary reviews, and promotion plans.
  • Expand the client base of the company, visiting client premises, supporting marketing efforts, including social media content, and preparing technical papers.
  • Interact with Principals to review department performance and implementation of major ideas and changes.

The ideal candidate will have the followings skills and qualifications:

  • Master’s (thesis-based) or Doctorate degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in acoustics, environmental noise, and ground vibration studies.
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to inspire and motivate and translate corporate/organization goals into meaningful actions for the ANV team.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to distill complex ideas and processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact with a variety of audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and display consistent follow-through on tasks, assignments, projects, etc.
  • P.Eng. license in Ontario is required (active and in good standing).
  • French is an asset.
